SI Manassas Wins Soroptimist Governor's Trophy

SI Manassas won the "Betty Jean Cook" Governor's Trophy at the Soroptimist South Atlantic Regional Conference in Virginia Beach.  The Governor's Trophy recoginizes one club each year for excellence in service, membership, public awareness and fund raising. President Cheryl Walter was presented with the trophy by South Atlantic Region Governor Robin Davis.

Audrey Moore and Linda Simms Honored for 40 Years of Service

President Vicki Latimer honored members Audrey Moore of Manassas and Linda Simms of Nokesville with 40-year membership pins.  Both women have been actively involved in club projects since joining in 1976.  Reflecting on her involvement in the club, Audrey said, "The club puts a lot into the community and I get a lot out of being a member.  It's a win-win for everyone!"  Linda's employer encouraged her to be involved in community service.  She remarked that "Soroptimist has been a perfect fit for me.
